Opening Note
March was a bit of a mixed bag, which is another way of saying it looked a lot like real life.
We talked about future selves, money, generosity, and micro-adventures. Not exactly a tidy little self-improvement series. But maybe that is the point. Midlife is not one neat conversation. It is a constant adjustment between responsibility and possibility. One day you are asking bigger questions about how you want to live. The next day you are looking at your spending, thinking about where to contribute, or realizing you probably need to go do something slightly more interesting than another trip to Costco.
That is part of what we love about this stage of life. It asks more of you, but it also gives you more perspective. You start to see that the good stuff is connected. A better future is shaped by honest choices, generous instincts, and the occasional small adventure that reminds you that you are still very much alive.
And on that note, thank you. The podcast continues to grow, and we are incredibly encouraged by the momentum we are seeing. We do not take any of it lightly. Thanks for being here, for reading, for listening, and for helping us build this thing one conversation at a time.
We’re glad you’re here with us.
Podcast Recaps — March Releases
Episode 20: The 10-Year Letter to Yourself: Relationships, Health, and What Matters Most
We tried something in this conversation that sounds simple until you actually do it: writing a letter to yourself from ten years in the future, then reading it out loud. What came through was honesty about relationships, health, and the habits that shape a life. Equal parts reflective, uncomfortable, and surprisingly human.

Episode 21: Getting Honest With Your Money — So You Have More Options
We talk a lot about freedom in midlife, but freedom usually starts with knowing your numbers. This conversation is about getting honest with your spending, simplifying the financial picture, and letting go of the stories that make money feel heavier than it needs to. Grounded, useful, and thankfully not a budgeting lecture.

Episode 22: How to Give Back in Midlife
At some point in midlife, giving back starts to feel less like a nice idea and more like a real calling. This conversation explores how service can take shape through your time, experience, relationships, and resources — and why small actions often carry more weight than expected. Practical, encouraging, and a helpful push to stop waiting and start somewhere.

Episode 23: Micro-Adventures Matter
We make a case for the kind of adventure that actually fits real life. This conversation looks at micro-adventures — small outings, new experiences, and low-pressure ways to reconnect with curiosity and movement. Grounded, playful, and proof that you do not need a big budget to make a good memory.

Wisdom Drop
The start of spring is one of the few times of year when nature does some of the work for you.
You naturally want to get outside more, move a little more, and think ahead to what the next few months could look like. That shift matters. It is a good season to pick your head up, shake off some routine, and put a little fresh energy into the parts of life that matter most.
One Great Link
“Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.”
From the classic movie Better Off Dead, and while it is clearly not a polished life strategy, there is something useful in it.
A lot of us spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting to feel fully ready. Ready to try something new. Ready to make the plan. Ready to take the trip. Ready to say yes. This clip is a good reminder that momentum usually shows up after you start, not before. You go, you adjust, and you figure it out as you move.
That is part of what makes the line so memorable. It is funny, a little reckless, and surprisingly wise.
Closing Moment
There is something refreshing about a month that does not ask you to reinvent yourself.
April has a way of pulling you out of winter mode. It is not very sophisticated, but it works.
So here is our simple hope for you this month: notice what feels alive, give it a little room, and do not overcomplicate the next step.
And when you do, we’ll be here, cheering you on from the front row.
See you under the tent,
Brent & Rob
